What Do We Do?

There’s a problem with traditional Physical Therapy clinics. 

Too often we see athletes given cookie-cutter exercises, passed off to non-PT individuals for a majority of their rehab, and asked to visit 2-3 times per week for mostly massage and ice. 

We believe there is a higher-standard of care.

At Bridge The Gap Performance, we empower those looking to regain their confidence, and improve their physical & mental abilities through a structured multidisciplinary approach to injury rehabilitation and performance.

Every athlete requires a sport-specific and individualised approach to consistency challenge their abilities, no matter where they are at in the rehab process.

We are not your typical physical therapy clinic. You will not have a sheet of exercises that you do for endless months, but you will have gym based exercises that challenge you throughout the entirety of your rehab that are easily adjusted to your abilities and goals.

ACL Rehabilitation

  • We offer a High-Performance standard of care throughout the entirety of your rehabilitation as you prepare to return to your sport or activity with full confidence in your abilities.

    You will have full transparency and clear communication of expectations, rehab goals, and progress along the way.

    Every athlete is different and require their own unique progression through rehab.

    Our unique approach to ACL rehab is comprised of a multidisciplinary team centred around YOU to ensure you are not left in the dark wondering what the next step is in your plan.

    We offer small group, hybrid rehabilitation & ACL-Specific performance sessions to attack your athletic goals no matter if your

    Each athlete is given an individualised training plan aimed towards their graft type, overall goals, and sport/positions they play.

    These small groups are invited to monthly Mindset Training seminar specific to returning to sport.

    We will guide you through the entirety of your rehabilitation to make sure you feel confident and highly capable returning to what you love doing most.

Performance Training

  • Whether you're running a 5K, wanting to dunk, or simply wanting to improve your overall health, we provide in-depth programs and coaching to support you along the way.

  • A targeted and holistic training program tailored to sporting skills & demands.

    We teach each athlete to master basic and advanced sporting characteristics that transfer to the court.

    In doing so, each athlete will progressively develop high level athletic abilities such as jumping, strength, reaction speed, change of direction and durability.

    Our programs include variations of resistance training, conditioning, mobility, mindset training, and load management strategies.

  • Bridge The Gap provides full strength, mobility & accessory work for all Crossfitters & Lifters!

    Battling nagging injuries and pain limit any athlete's ability to keep training the way they want.

    We thoroughly assess the area and the whole athlete to identify the root cause of their injury or irritation.

    After doing so, we provide insight into strategies of reducing pain, moving well and keeping each athlete as fit as possible.

    Being limited by an injury is frustrating and you feel uncertain of what the best plan of action is.

    During your first session, we listen to your story, identify the root cause of injury and build you a long term plan of care that is individually tailored to your goals and what you want to accomplish.

  • Step 2: Address

    Through 1-on-1 sessions with your Physical Therapist and weekly rehab plans, we’ll show you exactly how to get you back to doing what you love.

    We're all about giving you the long term solutions to decrease your pain, build resiliency and prevent your injury from coming back.

  • 1. Schedule a Free 20 min Discovery Call with your Doctor of Physical Therapy/Performance Specialist

    This is a Free 20 minute over the phone discussion to discuss your current symptoms, personal goals, and how we can help you!

    2. The next step is to schedule an in-person Initial Evaluation:

    You will be sent an online intake packet to complete

    Please wear comfortable/active clothing to your appointment

    Bring a water bottle, as needed

    We value punctuality

    You will be seen for the entirety of the 60-min consult

    Please arrive 5-10 mins early

    This session will consist of a targeted assessment & treatment

    3. After the Initial Eval, we will discuss an appropriate plan that is tailored to you & your goals!

  • A large number of the people we work with utilize their insurance benefits. As an out-of-network provider in Rancho Cordova, we provide you with all the necessary paperwork that gives you the opportunity to submit to your insurance for consideration for reimbursement.

  • The care you will receive from our providers is unparalleled to your typical in-network physical therapy experience in Rancho Cordova.

    Your PT will never be seeing multiple patients at the same time, pass you off to a volunteer/aide, or have you work through the same ‘cookie-cutter’ exercises week in and week out.

    Your entire visit is spent 1:1 with one of our highly specialized Doctors of Physical Therapy where we will clearly outline the root factors contributing to your pain experience and lay out a game plan for a path to recovery.

  • This depends on your specific situation, diagnosis, and goals. In most cases, we have you feeling significant improvement in a matter of 2-3 visits.

    We strive to minimize the number of sessions you need by providing you with the tools, education, and understanding of how to recover to be better than you were before needing PT.

    Recovering from an injury is never black and white; however, we look to provide you with a road map for your recovery through a customized, collaborative plan with one of our expert clinicians.
